I’m a CPA, but I do things differently than a traditional accounting firm.

Loft exists to help small business owners get clear, confident, and in control of their numbers — so they can grow faster, pay themselves more, and make decisions with ease. 

That means I don’t just look at what has happened in your business. I help you plan for what’s possible.

I was in it.

When I started my career at a large national accounting firm, it was fast-paced, full of variety, and offered a constant stream of interesting work. I loved seeing inside so many different businesses, solving problems, and mentoring my team.

But as I climbed to a senior manager role, the excitement faded.

I didn’t want the life of a partner with hundreds of clients and endless billable hours.

The traditional model (tracking every six minutes, chasing high chargeable hours, and delivering surprise invoices months after the work was done) felt exhausting and misaligned. The system didn’t just wear me down; it failed the clients I truly wanted to help.

It Wasn’t Working Because…

I saw the same issues again and again:

  • Clients left confused and blindsided by costs

  • Rigid processes that discouraged deep, meaningful work

  • Value measured in hours, not impact

  • No space to truly guide clients toward growth

I could see small business owners struggling – especially with cash flow – but all they were getting was a set of statements, a tax return, and maybe a quick tip before we wished them luck until next year.

It wasn’t enough.

So I Built Something Better.

I wanted a different kind of accounting relationship, one where:

  • We work with fewer clients, but on a deeper level

  • Fees are transparent and designed to fit real needs

  • We address more than just bookkeeping and taxes—we help business owners understand their numbers and use them to grow

  • I get to work with people I connect with, respect, and enjoy

That vision became Loft Accounting & Advisory.

I built a framework that closes the gap between bookkeeping and tax filing. A proactive, strategic advisory service that helps business owners plan for the future, make confident decisions, and create sustainable profits.

Today, I work with aligned, motivated business owners who want more than a year-end meeting.

My days are spent doing the kind of work I love, when and how I want, for people I’m proud to serve.
